The Route Plan

Detailed Itinerary

Day Day 1: Marrakech → Imlil Valley (1.5h drive + 2h hike)

Morning pickup from Marrakech. Scenic drive to Imlil (1,740m).

Short acclimatization hike through Berber villages with outdoor lunch.

Overnight at mountain guesthouse.

Day Day 2: Imlil → Toubkal Refuge (5-6h hike)

Trek past Sidi Chamarouch shrine to Toubkal Refuge (3,207m).

Gradual ascent through rocky valleys.

Overnight at refuge.

Day Day 3: Summit Toubkal (4,167m) & Return (6h round trip)

Pre-dawn start for sunrise summit push (3h ascent).

Celebrate at the peak with 360° Atlas Mountain views.

Descend to refuge for lunch and rest.

Day Day 4: Ras n'Ouankrim Peak (4,068m) Climb (6h)

Technical climb with some scrambling sections.

Stunning views of Toubkal Massif.

Return to refuge for final mountain night.

Day Day 5: Refuge → Imlil → Marrakech (5h hike + 1.5h drive)

Gradual descent to Imlil Valley.

Farewell lunch before returning to Marrakech.
