Detailed Itinerary
Day Day 1: Marrakech to Toubkal Refuge (5-6h Trek)
You will be picked up from your Marrakech accommodation in the morning and driven to Imlil Valley (1,740m), the starting point of your trek. The scenic drive takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Imlil, you'll meet your local guide and enjoy a short break with traditional Moroccan tea. Your trek begins as you hike towards the basecamp at 3,207m, passing by the famous Chamharouch Shrine where you'll stop for a prepared lunch. After lunch, continue your ascent to the Toubkal Refuge where you'll spend the night. Today's walking duration is approximately 5-6 hours.
Day Day 2: Summit Toubkal & Return to Marrakech (10-12h Trek)
Wake up early for summit day! After breakfast at the refuge, begin your climb to Mount Toubkal's peak at 4,167m - the highest point in North Africa. The ascent takes about 3 hours, rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views from the summit. Descend back to the refuge (2-3 hours) for lunch before continuing your return hike to Imlil (additional 4-5 hours). Today involves about 10-12 hours of total walking. Upon reaching Imlil, you'll be transferred back to Marrakech, concluding your 2-day Toubkal adventure.
